Founded in 1805, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) is America's first school and museum of fine arts. POSITION: Lead Museum Store Sales Associate

Reporting to the Museum Store Manager, the Lead Museum Store Sales Associate promotes and represents the PAFA Museum store by providing exceptional customer service to all visitors, assisting in product selection and completing transactions in a professional, friendly manner. They will assist with training and supervising Museum Store Sales Associates using interpersonal communication skills and conflict resolution when required. They encourage others to accomplish goals together and support one another to exceed customer expectations and meet sales targets.

Their duties include interacting with customers, managing inventory levels and shipments and handling other task assigned by the Museum Store Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide exceptional customer service including greeting and directing customers
• Manages Museum Store Shopify account and ensure platform remains up to date for customer and employee use
• Train staff on how to drive sales through consistent development of product knowledge and customer service standards
• Completes sales transactions using POS in a professional and friendly manner
• Maintains Store areas in a neat and organized manner, and adheres to all cleaning protocols set in place for the Museum per PAFA policy and CDC standards
• Ensure compliance to policies and procedures and report concerns to senior management
• Re-stocks products as needed, and communicates product needs to Museum Store Manager
• Price, display and stock newly arrived merchandise
• Acts as a resource for questions relating to the museum, exhibitions, the complex and surrounding area and attractions
• Acts as a resource for the Museum Store by keeping up-to-date on product knowledge, including current and new items to be able to answer customer questions
• Stays informed of PAFA policies, shop procedures, and guidelines for sales, discounts and actively promotes membership sales and membership renewals
• Packs and/or ships orders as necessary
• Responsible for cash drawer fulfillment and completes opening and closing routines as instructed to maintain complete transaction and deposit records
• Other duties as assigned
